Enhanced Login Security

Your account safety is important to us. In February 2012 your Credit Union implemented the first phase of ‘Enhanced Login Security’ that protects our members against online fraud by providing an additional authentication ‘factor’ beyond your username and password through the use of a one-time access code that could be sent via text message, email or phone call. The second phase of ‘Enhanced Login Security’ will bring even stronger safeguards and will require the creation of a stronger username and password in order to log into SecureLink Online Banking.

If your username and/or password does not currently meet the new standards, you will be asked to update this information the first time you log in to SecureLink Online Banking after our upgrade on Wednesday, November 28. At that time, you also must have a phone handy and provide the phone number to receive your access code. You will need this phone every time that you need to receive an access code.

  1. Ensure your username is strong — your username will need to be between 6 to 20 characters long and must include both letters and numbers and/or these specific characters: @$*_-=.!~. Your username can not be all numbers such as your member number or telephone number. Examples of strong usernames are j$miTh2478 or JheT@317.
  2. Ensure your password is strong — your new password will need to be between 6 to 32 characters long and must include both letters and numbers and/or these specific characters: @$*_-=.!~ Passwords can not be made up of only letters, only numbers or only symbols. Examples of strong passwords are iT@Sgq!0m or W#6gD!9G.

You will be asked to verify your phone number on file or add a new phone number where you can immediately receive an access code via text and/or automated voice message. You can also select to receive your access code via email. You can opt to have this computer remembered, so you do not need to repeat this step each time you log in. However, you must obtain a new access code for each computer you use to log in that is not remembered on the system.

After confirming your login security options, the rest of your online banking experience will remain exactly the same. In the future should you log in from a different computer you will be asked to enter a one-time access code as an additional line of defense to prevent unauthorized access.
