Popmoney® Payments

These days, paying IOUs is as easy as sending LOLs.

Why Popmoney? Send, request and receive money with just about anyone online or through your mobile device. Money moves directly from bank account to bank account.

Online Banking

  1. Log in to Online Banking
  2. Go to the Move Money tab
  3. Click External Transfers > Pay Other People

Mobile Banking

  1. Log in to Mobile Banking and select Popmoney from the More menu
  2. Enter the recipient’s name, email address and/or cell phone number and the dollar amount.
  3. The recipient will automatically get an email or text message notification.
  4. The recipient receives the money, which is directly deposited into an account of their choosing.
Once registration is completed, you must validate your mobile number or email address prior to transferring or receiving money through Popmoney. Log in to Online Banking to complete this portion of the registration process.

Accordion Section

Popmoney is a personal payment service that eliminates the hassles of paying others via checks or cash. You can send and receive money though SecureLink Online Banking or the SecureLink Mobile Banking App. Popmoney allows you to send money to friends, family or anyone you choose.
You can use your checking, savings, and/or money market account. Your payments and Popmoney Service fees will be automatically debited from the account you select. After you enter your information, you can send or request money from your contacts. They will be notified by email or text message that you wish to send money or are requesting money from them. You and your contacts will never need to exchange financial account information.
Popmoney can be used for things like:
  • Sending money to your child at college
  • Paying back friends for a fun outing
  • Paying your babysitter or lawn care service
  • Paying rent to your landlord or roommates
Currently Popmoney is only available for accounts residing within the United States
You have 10 days from the date you receive the payment notification to provide your Power Financial Credit Union account information.
You can send money using a recipient’s:
  • Email address. Your contact will receive an email with instructions on how to direct the payment into his or her account.
  • Mobile number. A text message will be sent to the recipient with instructions on how to direct the payment into his or her account. If the recipient does not respond to the payment notification after 3 days, a reminder text message will be sent reminding him/her to act on the payment notification.
  • Account information (routing and account number). Money will be directly deposited into your contact’s account. You will also have the option to send the contact an email notification.
You can request money from someone using their:
  • Name and email address. Your contact will receive an email with instructions on how to pay the request
  • Name and mobile number. A text message will be sent to the recipient on your behalf with instructions on how to pay the request
The person you requested money from has to sign up with Popmoney, if not registered already. Once he/she has signed up successfully and pays against the request, you should receive the payment within three business days. The payment will be deposited into the account you selected when sending the request.
Yes. You can cancel a payment any time before the send date or on the send date until the payment has begun processing. Your contact will be notified if you cancel a payment after a notification has been sent.
No, this feature is currently only available within SecureLink Online Banking.
